Everyone who is qualified to register as a voter can have his/her name entered in the Electoral Register. Everyone who is registered as a voter on the Electoral Register is eligible to vote in Presidential, Parliamentary, Provincial Councils and Local Government elections and referendums. Although every citizen has the right to vote under the sovereignty of the people, it can be exercised only if the person's name is included in the Electoral Register. In previous years, the process of revising of the Electoral Register commenced on June 1, but from 2022 onwards, it will commence from February 1.
